Clear answers when you need them.

OweScape requires no account and keeps no server copy of your plans. The answers below explain what to check on your device and with your lender.

Before entering a debt

Use the current balance, contractual annual interest rate, fixed equal monthly instalment, and remaining instalments shown by your lender. Do not enter APR if it includes fees or insurance.

If the figures look inconsistent

When the entered instalment would repay the balance earlier than the stated term, OweScape explains the mismatch. Recheck whether the balance, instalment, or remaining term is current.

Backup and restore

Settings → Save on this device creates an unencrypted JSON backup in a folder you choose. Restore from backup shows a preview before replacing local data. Keep the file private.

Missed or partial instalments

Record what you actually paid. The projection updates, but lender-specific late fees, default interest, and contractual consequences are not calculated.

Deleting data

Delete an individual plan from Plans. To remove all local data, clear the App’s storage in system settings or uninstall it. We cannot delete or recover a remote copy because we do not have one.
